National Education Agendas Require Collective Support for Success: Fadhlina

Nibong tebal: The two major national education agendas championed by the Education Ministry (MOE) require the support of all parties, especially parents, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said. The Malaysia Education Plan 2026-2035 and the School Curriculum 2027 are part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen the country’s education system and nurture a knowledgeable and competitive generation of virtue, she added.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadhlina emphasized the starting point of these initiatives with preschool education in 2026, which will have a direct impact on the nation’s education landscape. She called for collective efforts and community participation in these endeavors to strengthen and shape the character of children, highlighting the necessity of parental and community involvement.

Fadhlina announced that the MOE will implement a comprehensive character development program for students starting in 2026. This approach will utilize existing learning subjects and will initially focus on preschool children, with plans to expand to primary school pupils in the subsequent years.

The minister delivered these remarks during her speech at the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Methodist Nibong Tebal alumni dinner, urging for united support to ensure the successful implementation of these educational reforms.
