Nat Antarabangsa ANGKASA Perlis 2026 Aims to Strengthen Cooperative Economic Networks

Perlis: Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) is hosting the Nat Antarabangsa ANGKASA Perlis 2026 programme from today until Sunday, with the goal of bolstering economic ties among cooperatives, communities, and entrepreneurs through expanded sales platforms, product promotion, and business matching.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme, taking place at the floating market of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) in Perlis, provides cooperatives with a platform to market products directly to consumers while establishing networks with strategic partners. The event features 50 cooperative exhibitors presenting a variety of products and services, including food and beverages, essential goods, agricultural produce, and innovative offerings. This participation showcases the cooperative movement's ability to meet current market demands and emphasizes its strong growth potential in the national economy.

The three-day event is part of ANGKASA's ongoing efforts to fortify cooperatives as a people-focused economic platform. It aims to increase income, ease living costs through the Rahmah MADANI Sales initiative, and enhance business capacity in Perlis. A key highlight will be the official opening by the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, on Sunday night, where a memorandum of understanding (MoU) exchange is anticipated to foster new strategic collaboration opportunities.

Additionally, the Nat Antarabangsa Malaysia Halal Marketplace platform will be launched to broaden the digital market reach of cooperative products, particularly in the halal segment, which holds significant global potential. The programme will include activities such as lucky draws, special performances, and a fireworks display to energize the main event.

The Kenduri ANGKASA Negeri Perlis will also take place as a symbol of unity among cooperative members and the local community. On the first day, visitors can engage in product sales and the Rahmah MADANI Sales programme, offering essential goods at affordable prices, along with a children's colouring contest to promote family participation.

On the second day, visitors can experience a floating farmers' market organized by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), featuring fresh produce and agro-based products. The Puisi Nusantara programme and drum performances will highlight regional arts and cultural elements, enhancing the nat as an economic and cultural platform.

On Sunday, the International Nat Discourse: Challenges and the Future forum will convene industry players, cooperative leaders, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for strengthening the cooperative sector in addressing global economic challenges. ANGKASA invites the public to attend and support local products and cooperatives.
