Kuala lumpur: Malaysian driver Naquib Azlan, representing Porsche Malaysia, is aiming for a positive finish in Rounds Five and Six of the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) at Fuji International Speedway, Japan this weekend. He related that his transition from simulation racing to driving a real Porsche machine on track has been positive so far, having collected 32.5 points to sit sixth out of 28 drivers in the race standings in his debut season driving a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Naquib expressed excitement about the upcoming race at Fuji, describing the Japanese circuit as interesting and challenging. He shared his enjoyment of racing in Japan and noted the unique layout of the track. Despite the difficulty, Naquib emphasized the benefits of his extensive simulator training, which has contributed to his positive outlook and approach to each race as a learning opportunity. Naquib, at 25 years old, is dedicated to bringing pride to Malaysia in the 2026 PCCA season, with nine r ounds remaining. He acknowledged the high level of competition in the series, which was anticipated even before joining. Naquib noted the significant leap in competition from the level he was accustomed to in Malaysia but remains focused on self-improvement and delivering the best performance possible.
