NAFAS Bajakimia Records RM160,000 In Sales During First Six Days Of MAHA 2026

Kuala lumpur: NAFAS Bajakimia Sdn Bhd (NBKSB) recorded sales exceeding RM160,000 during the first six days of the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) 2026 exhibition, reflecting strong demand for its agricultural input products.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, NBKSB chief executive officer Zalifudin Md Arshad stated that this achievement surpassed the company's performance at previous MAHA editions. He added that the company expects direct sales to increase during the final three days of the exhibition. "NAFAS Bajakimia has sold 350 bags of fertiliser over the past six days, and we are targeting even higher sales during the remaining three days before the event concludes. We hope to exceed our initial target," he mentioned after the launch of the Premium Care fertiliser range at MAHA 2026.

The launch of the range, comprising Premium Care 34+ and Premium Care 5, was officiated by Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu. Zalifudin explained that Premium Care 34+ is enhanced with Nutrient Protection Enhancer (NPE) technology, which aids in retaining nutrients in the soil for longer and enables crops to absorb nutrients more efficiently, thus supporting fruit development.

Premium Care 5, according to Zalifudin, contains a balanced NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) formulation with a ratio not exceeding five, as well as 50 per cent humic acid. This formulation provides balanced nutrition and helps restore soil structure to improve crop productivity. He also revealed plans to expand the Premium Care range with three new formulations - 45D, 16D, and 10D - to meet the needs of different crops, including fruit trees such as durian.

Zalifudin emphasized that the launch reflected NAFAS' efforts, through NBKSB, to strengthen innovation in agricultural inputs by integrating product development, fertilisation technology, and research to meet the needs of farmers and the country's agricultural sector. At the event, NBKSB also signed a two-year memorandum of agreement worth RM600,039 with the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI). The agreement covers the development of the Baja Super Durian Peladang controlled-release fertiliser (CRF) and an evaluation of its effectiveness in promoting crop growth and improving produce quality.

MAHA 2026, themed 'Penciptaan Nilai Demi Keterjaminan Makanan', is being held from Aug 28 to Sept 6.
