Bukit pelandok: PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar has called on voters in Negeri Sembilan to fulfil their civic duty in the state election tomorrow by voting for Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidates. She emphasized the importance of supporting Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who is contesting the Linggi seat, to ensure the continuity of the state's development agenda.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nurul Izzah expressed her understanding of the fierce nature of the contests, underscoring that the voters of Negeri Sembilan hold the ultimate decision-making power. She made these remarks while visiting the family of a patient infected with the Japanese Encephalitis virus during the Ziarah Kasih programme alongside PH candidate for the Chuah seat, Datuk Yew Boon Lye.

In her comments on the campaign in Chuah, Nurul Izzah mentioned that efforts to engage with voters were being intensified. Despite Chuah being regarded as one of the coalition's strongholds, she stressed that PH could not afford to take the contest lightly. She also reminded voters to focus on the service records of PH candidates rather than being swayed by slander from certain parties.

Aminuddin, she noted, has addressed various allegations against him while remaining focused on issues affecting the local community. Highlighting PH's performance in governance, she expressed confidence in the ability to resolve these issues and showcase the coalition's achievements.

In the upcoming elections, Chuah will see a direct contest between incumbent Yew and Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Pau Jeou Ching. In Linggi, Aminuddin is up against incumbent Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli of BN and Datuk Haji Zamri Md Said of Bersatu. A total of 859,760 registered voters, including 7,391 postal voters, will participate in electing representatives for the 36 seats in the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly.

PH is contesting all 36 seats, with BN fielding candidates in 25, Bersatu in 24, Perikatan Nasional in 11, and four independent candidates. Additionally, Barisan Jamaah Islamiah SeMalaysia, Parti Orang Asli Malaysia, and Parti Sosialis Malaysia are each fielding one candidate.
