N9 Polls: Anwar Calls On ATM, PDRM Personnel To Support PH Candidate

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) personnel, as well as their spouses, who will cast their ballots in early voting for the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election on Tuesday to place their trust in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the PH chairman mentioned in a video posted on Facebook that he and the Cabinet Ministers have been committed to safeguarding the welfare of ATM and PDRM personnel, acknowledging that further improvements are needed. He highlighted efforts related to the welfare of military and police personnel, including their salaries, basic facilities, housing, educational facilities for their children, and healthcare for their parents, as well as assistance programs like Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA).

Anwar appealed for the opportunity to continue serving, expressing appreciation for the service and sacrifices of the personnel. He urged collaboration to elevate the dignity of Malaysia while supporting PH. Anwar emphasized that every vote cast would not only determine the state's direction but also represent the trust placed in the government to enhance the welfare of security personnel and their families.

With continued support and mandate, Anwar expressed a commitment to work harder to elevate the country's dignity, safeguard the people's welfare, and strengthen the well-being of all members of the security forces. He concluded his appeal with a note of surrendering to Allah SWT.

This Tuesday, a total of 16,884 military personnel and their spouses, along with 5,455 police personnel, will exercise their right to vote at 38 early voting centers throughout the state. The Election Commission has scheduled August 1 as the polling day for the 16th Negri Sembilan election.
