Negeri sembilan: A total of 30 candidates lost their deposits after failing to garner at least one-eighth of the total votes counted in the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) experienced the most significant setback, with 23 out of 24 of its candidates losing their deposits. Bersatu did not secure a single seat and failed to defend its Labu seat. Additionally, the sole candidates from Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (ASLI) and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) also lost their deposits, alongside one candidate from Pakatan Harapan (PH) and four independent candidates.

Candidates aged between 41 and 50 years faced the highest percentage of lost deposits, with 13 out of 36 candidates in this age group losing their deposits, accounting for 36.11 percent. In terms of election outcomes, Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) secured a combined total of 25 seats out of 36, while PH won 11 seats in the state election that concluded today.
