Kuala lumpur: Pakatan Harapan (PH) election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has urged all eligible voters to fulfil their civic duty in the Negeri Sembilan state election on August 1. He emphasized that most Negeri Sembilan voters, who work in the Klang Valley, do not face the challenge of long-distance travel to cast their votes, unlike voters in Johor.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin encouraged voters to return home despite the unpredictable weather conditions to make informed decisions for the future of Negeri Sembilan. He conveyed this message during a press interaction following a walkabout with PH Linggi candidate and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun in Pekan Linggi.

Amirudin, who is also the Selangor Menteri Besar, announced that PH would organize a 'Munajat Perdana' (special prayer gathering) on the night of July 30. This event is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, signifying its importance.

The upcoming election will see a total of 889,490 voters eligible to cast their ballots. This includes 867,151 ordinary voters, 16,884 military personnel and their spouses, and 5,455 police personnel.
