Seremban: The Negeri Sembilan Narcotics Crime Investigation Department disposed of evidence linked to drug cases from 2001 to July this year totaling RM6.725 million today, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said. The evidence included 21,075 grammes (g) of ecstasy pills worth RM3.5 million; 89,921 g of methamphetamine (RM2.91 million); 1,277.34 g of ketamine (RM105,468); 5,428.9 g of heroin (RM58,722); and 33.46 g of vape liquid (RM33,470), he added.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the evidence involves drug seizures in completed trials and were still stored in the narcotic case evidence store in the state’s district, involving 2,076 investigation papers from 2001 to this year. Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof also shared that the state NCID had arrested 4,713 individuals, which includes 2,734 drug addicts, 1,313 individuals on drug possession, and 664 drug traffickers in the first seven months of this year, with asset seizures totaling RM6.534 million.
Meanwhile in Taiping: The police disposed of evidence from criminal cases worth over RM355,292 at the Taiping district police headquarters today, Taiping district police chief ACP Mohamad Nasir Ismail said. The evidence was linked to 40 investigation papers on gambling, bitcoin, fireworks, and contraband cases completed from 2011 to this year, and included seized items such as 427 bitcoin mining rigs worth RM106,750, cigarettes worth over RM280,000, alcohol worth RM1,753.55, and gambling equipment worth about RM10,000.
