MyRMK System to Monitor 13th Malaysia Plan Implementation from Next Year

Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Economy will introduce MyRMK, an integrated monitoring system for the implementation of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) starting next year, said Minister of Economy Datuk Seri Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir today. He explained that MyRMK is designed as a dynamic and continuous monitoring tool, offering real-time updates on project progress and the achievement of policy objectives set under 13MP.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this approach is intended to enhance the effectiveness of implementation, improve monitoring efficiency, and strengthen the government's ability to make faster and more precise policy adjustments. This is particularly crucial in efforts to narrow the development gap between urban and rural areas. The 13MP will emphasize execution and effectiveness, with a planning framework already established under the MADANI Economy framework.

Earlier, in response to Senator Datuk Wira Koh Nai Kwong, Akmal Nasrullah stated that 13MP focuses on accelerating the growth of high-growth, high-value (HGHV) industries and high-impact strategic sectors to address income disparity and job availability between urban and rural areas. He remarked that developing these industries and sectors can generate high-skilled jobs, offer competitive wages, attract quality investments, and expand supply chains into less-developed regions.

In addition to prioritizing HGHV industries and high-impact sectors, Akmal Nasrullah noted that RMK13 outlines initiatives to bridge development gaps and increase employment opportunities. This includes driving new growth based on local potential and attracting high-quality investments in regional economic corridors.
