Chemor: Police have detained a Myanmar national on suspicion of murdering his wife at a house in Kampung Kuala Kuang, Chemor, near here. Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad reported the arrest of the 37-year-old suspect following the discovery of his wife unconscious at their residence around 3.40 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, police received a call at approximately 12.30 pm from a man seeking assistance in contacting an ambulance, claiming that a 28-year-old Myanmar woman was unconscious at the location. Upon arrival, a team from the Ipoh district police headquarters found the woman deceased, with visible strangulation marks on her neck.
The victim’s body has been transported to the Forensic Department of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are actively investigating to determine the motive behind the incident.
