Muslims Urged to Embrace Prophet Muhammad’s Teachings During Maulidur Rasul

Kuala lumpur: The Maulidur Rasul celebration should be observed by commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad and emulating his sirah, character, and Sunnah (teachings and practices) as guidance in all aspects of life.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed hope in a Facebook post that Maulidur Rasul 1448H would continue to nurture the Muslim community's love for the noble Prophet. He extended his greetings to all Muslims, wishing that the celebration fosters love for the Prophet, strengthens bonds of brotherhood, and inspires the community to bring mercy and goodness to society.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof emphasized that the celebration is not merely about recalling the Prophet's biography or reciting the 'salawat'. It is about embodying the 'Sunnah' and character of the Messenger of Allah in everyday life. He highlighted the Prophet Muhammad as the best role model, demonstrating compassion, trustworthiness, justice, patience, and ihsan.

Fadillah noted that the Prophet demonstrated how to manage differences with wisdom, preserve brotherhood, and build a society based on mutual respect and harmonious living. He urged Muslims to choose compassion over hostility, wisdom over emotion, brotherhood over discord, and noble character over conflict, aligning with the Maulidur Rasul theme, 'Madani Dihayati, Ummah Diberkati'.

Fadillah further encouraged Muslims to emulate Prophet Muhammad in work, family life, community interactions, and civic responsibilities. He expressed hope that Malaysia would continue to be safeguarded with peace, unity, and harmony, and that all its people would be blessed with a prosperous and blessed life.
