Muslims Must Return To Al-Quran As Primary Guide – Raja Of Perlis

Kangar: Muslims must return to the Al-Quran as the primary guide in addressing life’s various questions and challenges, according to Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail. His Royal Highness emphasized that the Al-Quran is the ultimate solution to the differences that may arise within the Muslim community.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin stated that every Muslim is obligated to understand the contents of the Al-Quran and practice its lessons in their daily life, making it the true compass for living. He noted that the Quran is a holy book filled with miracles, which should be accessible to all, regardless of their understanding of the Arabic language. He encouraged the study, internalization, and reflection of its beauty and guidance in daily actions and practices.

Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin delivered these remarks during the closing of the Perlis International Sunnah Convention (PISC) 2025 at Dewan 2020. The event was attended by Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli, as well as speakers and participants from countries including Uzbekistan, Singapore, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, and India. The convention, themed ‘Al-Quran: The Divine Guidance’, commenced on January 24 and is set to conclude tomorrow.

His Royal Highness also stressed the state’s dedication to prioritizing knowledge and the authenticity of facts, especially concerning religious matters, to ensure that the understanding of Islam remains accurate. He highlighted the importance of authenticity, guided by the Quran and Sunnah, in balancing a Muslim’s worldly and spiritual life.

Furthermore, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin pointed out Perlis’ achievements in hosting large-scale knowledge-based events like the Sunnah Village and Sunnah Convention, which aim to enhance Islamic understanding.
