Kuala lumpur: Muslims in the country are urged to make the Quran a guiding principle in life and a measure of truth when navigating humanitarian crises and the uncertainties of the modern world. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof emphasized the importance of the holy book in shaping perceptions and responses to global issues, particularly during times of conflict and crisis. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadillah highlighted several contemporary issues, including the Palestine-Israel conflict, tensions in the Middle East involving Iran and the United States, political power imbalances, climate change, social issues like corruption, and threats arising from artificial intelligence. He stressed that the Quran should guide Muslims towards truth and away from injustice. Fadillah shared these views in a Facebook post marking Nuzul Quran, which will be observed tomorrow. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reiterated the significance of the Quran in a Facebook pos t, stating that Nuzul Quran reminds Muslims of the importance of knowledge, faith, and moral character in nation-building. He urged the community to apply Quranic principles in leadership, governance, and daily life to face economic challenges, social changes, and tests of unity effectively. Dr Ahmad Zahid called on Muslims to strengthen their relationship with the Quran, promote families that value knowledge, and raise a generation that is ethical, resilient, and principled.
