Multiplier Secures US$35 Mln Series B, Appoints Allen Shim As President And CFO

San francisco: Multiplier, a technology company specializing in the acquisition of premium professional services firms, has announced a US$35 million Series B funding round led by The General Partnership, with additional participation from Ribbit Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company has also revealed the appointment of Allen Shim, the former Chief Financial Officer of Slack, as its new President and CFO. Shim will be responsible for overseeing finance, operations, partnerships, and people functions, as well as facilitating the expansion of Multiplier's office in San Francisco.

In its official statement, Multiplier indicated that the newly acquired funds will be directed towards acquiring more professional-services firms and enhancing its technology and operations teams. The company has already acquired eight firms, with five acquisitions occurring in the past year, and has signed term sheets for four more firms.

Multiplier's business model focuses on acquiring well-established professional-services firms with specialized expertise and strong client relationships. These acquired firms maintain their names, leadership teams, and operational independence, while benefiting from Multiplier's long-term capital, shared infrastructure, and global professional network.

The company's team, consisting of over 30 technologists recruited from top-tier software companies, collaborates directly with the firms to develop AI tools tailored to their operational needs and workflows.
