Muhyiddin Resigns As PN Chairman

Kuala lumpur: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced his resignation as chairman of Perikatan Nasional (PN), effective January 1, 2026. In a statement today, the Bersatu president expressed his appreciation to all PN leaders for the support extended to him throughout his leadership of the coalition since its establishment five years ago.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the former prime minister wished the PN leadership and its component parties all the best in their future endeavors. Earlier today, a senior Bersatu leader mentioned that Muhyiddin had finalized his decision to step down as PN chairman at 12.13 am. No reason was given for the resignation.
