Kuala lumpur: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki expressed his condolences over the tragic fire that claimed the lives of five members of a family, including a Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) student, early today: The fire, which destroyed a house in Kampung Pamah Kulat, Raub, claimed the life of Ruby Adira Batrisya Mohd Alawi, who was awaiting her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia results.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki conveyed his deep sorrow over the incident. He emphasized the sudden loss of loved ones, especially nearly an entire family, as an unimaginable burden. He assured that MARA would provide the necessary support and ensure the well-being of the surviving family members during this challenging time.

The fire resulted in the deaths of Ruby Adira Batrisya's parents, Mohd Alawi Muhammad, 56, and Zaleha Adam @ Ibrahim, 44, as well as her siblings, Ruby Adlina Banin, 14, and Ruby Azyan Barizah, 10. It was reported that her two other siblings, aged 19 and 15, were not present at the home during the incident as they were residing in their college and school dormitories.
