MOT To Hold TXA 2025 As Platform For Industry Players In Transport, Logistics

Kuala Lumpur: The Ministry of Transport (MOT) will for the first time organise the Transport Expo Asia (TXA) 2025 from Nov 11 to 13, as a platform to bring together industry players in the transport and logistics sector. Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the organisation of TXA 2025 strengthens Malaysia’s role as a regional leader in the competitive transport and logistics sector.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Loke stated that TXA 2025 will unite policymakers, industry players, academics, and technology providers to shape a smarter and more sustainable future of mobility and trade. During a press conference after launching TXA 2025, he emphasized the event’s role in discussing and creating a more sustainable and greener future for the country’s transport facilities and trade.

Loke highlighted that TXA is an addition to the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) but will specifically focus on industry players in the transport sector. The Cabinet permitted the Transport Ministry to organize this event since LIMA will concentrate on defense, while TXA will address transport and logistics.

“This year, MOT will not be the organiser of LIMA. TXA 2025 will be the inaugural edition of the biennial TXA series, with TXA 2026 planned for the third quarter of next year,” Loke mentioned, adding that the location of the event would be determined later.

The 2025 Road Safety Congress will be an important program within TXA 2025, continuing as an official annual event in the 2026 edition. This congress aims to enhance awareness and cooperation in strengthening road safety in Malaysia.

Loke noted that more than 80 exhibiting companies from various sectors including multi-modal transport, smart logistics, automation, and digital cold chain will participate in TXA 2025. The event expects to attract over 3,000 trade visitors, including ASEAN delegations and industry leaders, at the Sama-Sama Hotel with the theme ‘Future On The Move: Digital, Sustainable Transport, Agile Logistics and ESG-Driven Supply Chains’.
