Monsha’at Showcases Saudi Startups at VivaTech Paris

Paris: Monsha’at, Saudi Arabia’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) general authority, led a group of five potential Saudi unicorn SMEs to participate in a recently held VivaTech 2025, Europe’s leading technology and innovation exhibition.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the four-day event, which concluded on June 14, provided Monsha’at with a significant platform to present high-potential Saudi startups to global best practices, industry insights, and strategic networks with global stakeholders. This participation aimed to offer fresh perspectives and help Saudi startups acquire the skills and contacts necessary for global scaling.

Monsha’at Vice Governor of Entrepreneurship, Saud Alsabhan, highlighted the importance of the event, stating it was an opportunity to showcase some of the best young startups from Saudi Arabia. It also allowed tech entrepreneurs from the Kingdom to share insights about the thriving startup ecosystem with global investors and innovators.

The Saudi cohort, led by Monsha’at, included five startups: Telgani, a digital car rental platform; Soum, a second-hand sales app; Webook, a digital engagement platform; SiFi, a financial solutions provider; and Rewaa, a retail tech company. Monsha’at emphasized that these companies exemplify the dynamism of Saudi Arabia’s growing sectors, including e-commerce, transportation, entertainment technology, fintech, and retail tech.

The participation of these startups comes amid significant momentum in Saudi Arabia’s SME and startup ecosystems. In the first quarter of 2025, the Kingdom’s private sector recorded a 48 percent quarter-over-quarter increase in commercial registrations, reaching 1.68 million active registrations nationwide.

Monsha’at’s involvement in VivaTech 2025 underscores Saudi Arabia’s dedication to promoting entrepreneurship, fostering international partnerships, and accelerating the growth of Saudi tech leaders, particularly SMEs.
