Kuala lumpur: Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar today bid farewell to the staff of the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). He arrived at the Islamic Complex here at about 8.20 am and was greeted by the personnel, including his political secretary, Dr Muhamad Razak Idris.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Na'im stated he has no immediate plans and intends to take a break for the time being. He mentioned, "God willing, I will perform the umrah soon," when speaking to reporters.
Mohd Na'im was dropped from the new Cabinet announced yesterday by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
