New york: Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan will attend the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York from tomorrow until Sunday, September 28. Mohamad is scheduled to present the National Statement at the General Debate session on Sunday at 5 am (Malaysian time).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamad will participate in several high-level meetings and hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts, as well as the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Malaysia’s participation in the UNGA 2025 reflects the MADANI Government’s firm commitment towards multilateralism and efforts to strengthen global cooperation.
Wisma Putra stated that this commitment is particularly focused on advancing peace and security, trade and investment, green economy, new technologies, and sustainable development. The UNGA 2025 is themed ‘Better together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development and Human Rights’.
