MOH Takes Website Offline Temporarily For Security Upgrades

Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has temporarily suspended access to its official website to allow for enhanced cybersecurity measures to be implemented. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ministry is conducting investigations and remedial actions in collaboration with relevant agencies following a recent cyber threat incident, with further updates to be issued from time to time. There is currently no indication that the incident has affected critical systems or resulted in any breach of sensitive MOH data. The ministry has assured the public that its healthcare delivery systems continue to operate as normal and are protected by separate infrastructure with strict cybersecurity controls. MOH emphasized that the website is used solely for corporate and public information dissemination and does not store patient medical records or individual health data. MOH remains committed to ensuring the security of its digital assets and the continuity of healthcare services for the public. Media reports o n Saturday mentioned that the MOH official portal experienced access disruptions believed to be linked to a cybersecurity incident.
