Kuala Lumpur: The Education Ministry (MOE) will implement the wearing of the Jalur Gemilang badge on student uniforms at educational institutions under its purview, starting April 21 in phases. The initiative aims to instill patriotism and a love for the country among students and educators.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the requirement applies to all government schools, government-aided schools, matriculation colleges, and teacher education institutes nationwide. The initiative reflects the role of educational institutions in fostering a sense of national pride and strengthening patriotism among the younger generation.

To facilitate the implementation, the ministry will provide two Jalur Gemilang badges free of charge to all students for the 2025/2026 academic session. Additionally, the ministry has issued the Guidelines on Wearing the Jalur Gemilang Badge on Student Uniforms alongside Circular No. 3/2025, outlining the proper procedures for badge placement.
