Kuala lumpur: The Education Ministry (MOE) has called off the 2025 National-Level Fully Residential Schools (SBP) Rugby Sevens Championship here following the death of a student participating in the tournament yesterday. In a statement today, the ministry said the championship, which was supposed to run until tomorrow, would be rescheduled to a new date.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the student collapsed during a match and was given initial treatment by the on-duty medical team before being rushed to a hospital. The student was pronounced dead at the hospital. MOE has extended its condolences to the family of the student.
