Kuala Lumpur:Perak The National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI) extended its condolences to former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his family following the death of his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MKI chairman Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak noted that Tun Dr Siti Hasmah's passing is a significant loss for the nation, highlighting her sacrifices, dedicated service, and contributions to the country.
During the 75th MKI meeting, Sultan Nazrin offered prayers for Tun Dr Mahathir and his family, wishing them strength in this challenging time. He also prayed for Tun Dr Siti Hasmah's soul to receive Allah's mercy and grace.
Tun Dr Siti Hasmah passed away at the National Heart Institute at the age of 100, leaving behind her husband and seven children.
