KUALA LUMPUR: MIZU Paint aims to be a leader in sustainable construction materials that embeds its technology into any sector needed for climate change mitigation strategy. MIZU Paint founder Rozzeta Dolah Ceng said the Malaysia International Building and Construction Industry Showcase (BuildXpo) 2024 is among the ideal platforms to showcase its innovations and strengthen its brand.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Rozzeta stated that trade shows like BuildXpo are crucial to MIZU Paint’s long-term growth strategy, serving as essential links between the company and the broader construction industry. BuildXpo provides a direct channel to industry stakeholders, allowing the company to gather real-time feedback, quickly adapt to changing consumer preferences, and refine its products to meet market standards.
BuildXpo 2024 showcased the latest trends, sustainable practices, and cutting-edge technologies in the construction industry. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Works, organised by the Construction In
dustry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Qube). With 500 exhibition booths and 200 exhibitors, BuildXpo attracted participation from countries such as China, Spain, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Bangladesh, and Japan. It served as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and fostering innovation among industry professionals, with a focus on modernising the construction sector.
Rozzeta highlighted that BuildXpo has been instrumental in MIZU Paint’s journey. When the company participated in the exhibition in 2023, its paint was still in the research and development stage, and they were in the process of gathering insights from industry experts and potential customers. The feedback helped refine their product, and the connections made laid the groundwork for growth. In 2024, they returned with a market-ready product, the world’s first carbon dioxide (CO2) adsorbent paint.
She mentioned that the most significant challenge for MIZU Paint was va
lidating their research and development efforts to ensure the product met rigorous industry standards. It required extensive testing and refinement to align the paint’s performance with the technical expectations of the market. Each step was crucial to confirm durability, safety, and sustainability benchmarks before moving to commercialisation.
As the company develops and expands its product range, participating in BuildXpo helps MIZU Paint stay in tune with market needs and emerging trends. This enables them to anticipate future demands while reinforcing their commitment to the local industry. By driving innovation alongside peers, they contribute to the sustainable growth of the sector.
Most importantly, MIZU Paint’s engagement with the CIDB has been a key driver in their journey from concept to commercialisation. CIDB has provided invaluable support, helping navigate the complexities of the construction industry and ensuring that MIZU Paint meets the necessary standards for both performance and safety. T
heir support has positioned MIZU Paint as a forward-thinking player in the sustainable construction space, with continued partnership pivotal as they scale and expand their reach locally and internationally.
