Bangkok: Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced that its Thai subsidiary, Siam Compressor Industry Co Ltd, will undergo a name change to Mitsubishi Electric Siam Compressor Industry Co Ltd, effective April 1.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the subsidiary is engaged in the development, manufacturing, and sale of compressors used in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

In addition to serving Mitsubishi Electric group companies, the subsidiary provides compressors to other manufacturers both within Thailand and internationally. The renaming effort will lead to all products produced and sold by the subsidiary carrying the Mitsubishi Electric brand. This move is expected to enhance global recognition of the brand and improve the company's ability to attract skilled personnel.

Mitsubishi Electric Siam Compressor Industry is concentrating on addressing the increasing demand for compressors across various applications, such as air conditioning, refrigeration, and data centers. These markets are anticipated to experience significant growth. By expanding the subsidiary's global operations, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation aims to accelerate its growth in the air conditioning and refrigeration systems sector worldwide.
