Kuala Lumpur: The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) is pivotal in bolstering Malaysia’s economic resilience amidst global challenges, stated Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister Zafrul highlighted the necessity for MITI’s workforce to enhance their competitiveness in the face of ongoing geopolitical tensions, trade conflicts, and the rivalry among global superpowers. He pointed out that despite significant achievements in trade and investment in 2024, the coming year of 2025 will require even swifter and more competitive strategies to address these issues effectively.
Minister Zafrul further remarked on the increasingly intense global competition, acknowledging the difficult circumstances Malaysia has been navigating and underscoring the need for continued adaptability and strategic planning. His comments were shared on social media today as part of the MITI 2025 Retreat, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to steering Malaysia through complex economic waters.
