MITI Receives Over 40 Proposals For Budget 2026


Kuala lumpur: The Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) has received more than 40 proposals from industry players for the upcoming Budget 2026. In a post on X, MITI Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz stated that these proposals cover a range of areas, including fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, technology, research and development initiatives, green investments, talent development, and adjustments to jobs and wage structures.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, the proposals also address export supports and free trade agreements, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, and Sustainable Development Goals. These comprehensive suggestions aim to ensure the perspectives of industry players are considered in drafting national policies and strategies.



Tengku Zafrul emphasized the importance of engagement sessions with industry leaders to create inclusive, competitive, and sustainable policies. He expressed gratitude towards the industry representatives for their constructive input, reiterating MITI’s commitment to fortifying the nation’s trade and industrial ecosystem to foster sustainable and inclusive economic growth.



Earlier, Tengku Zafrul conducted a dialogue session with industry players as part of the MITI 2026 Budget Dialogue Session.
