Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) hopes that whoever succeeds Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz after his tenure as the agency’s minister ends on Dec 2, 2025, will continue the good work carried out under his leadership.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy MITI Minister Liew Chin Tong expressed that Tengku Zafrul has set a high bar, emphasizing the importance of continuing to promote the interests of Malaysian industry, strengthening the country’s trade relationships, and improving the investment ecosystem.
Over the past three years, Tengku Zafrul has demonstrated MITI’s crucial role in advancing industries, bolstering trade relations with other nations, and enhancing the investment climate. His leadership has been pivotal in integrating these elements to foster growth and development.
Deputy Minister Liew conveyed his gratitude to Tengku Zafrul on behalf of MITI and the Malaysian people for his commendable leadership, during the MITI ASEAN Day 2025 event. Tengku Zafrul, who has served as a senator for two terms since 2020, will complete his six-year tenure in the Dewan Negara on December 2.
