Mountain guides involved in the search for six people feared missing in the forest are prepared to provide food and assistance to the group if they are found:ay journey but had now been in the forest for about 10 days.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muzafar explained that the food supplies were initially planned for six days, but the group had already exceeded that period by more than four days. Therefore, the guides are equipped with extra food to support the group if located. "We will provide them with food first if we manage to find them before bringing them out," he stated.

The search efforts are concentrated on the route towards Gunung Belatoh and Gunung Sepat, as it is believed the group continued in that direction after completing the Gunung Gerah, Bilah, and Bieh routes. Muzafar mentioned that while the mountain guides are familiar with the terrain, parts of the trail towards Belatoh and Sepat are less explored and covered in dense bamboo, complicating navigation.

The dense bamboo presents a challenge, making it easier for hikers to lose the trail and mistakenly take a wrong path. Muzafar noted, "The risk of getting lost and failing to find the trail is high because they will encounter a zone with dense bamboo."

The group's intended route was to descend towards Pos Kemar after completing the Gerah, Bilah, and Bieh route, but they are believed to have continued towards Belatoh and Sepat. Factors such as difficulty navigating the route or a potential injury to a group member are being considered as reasons for their failure to reach Pos Kemar. Additionally, the lack of clearly identified water sources along the trail is another concern in the ongoing search.

Health and safety remain the top priority, particularly because the group includes four family members, two of whom are children aged nine and 13, alongside two mountain guides. Muzafar expressed concern for their health due to prolonged exposure to high-altitude areas and extreme weather conditions, given that it has been 10 days since they were last seen.

The missing individuals, Wan Ahmad Aslam Wan Zairudin, 39, Siti Zulaiha Norizan, 39, their children Diya Raisha, 13, and Ahmad Raef, 9, along with guides Shafiee Sidek, 49, and Hazman Mamat, 43, were reported missing after entering the forest through Pos Dakoh, Lojing, Gua Musang, Kelantan on August 29. They were scheduled to exit through Pos Kemar, Perak on September 3, but when they did not, family members lodged a police report on September 6 after receiving no news from them.
