The Defence Ministry (MINDEF) has directed the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) to conduct an internal investigation into allegations that unauthorised individuals had entered military camps and that immoral activities had taken place within the premises, as claimed in viral social media posts.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MINDEF stated that it views these allegations seriously, emphasizing that such claims do not represent the culture, values, or actual practices of the MAF, which are founded on discipline, professionalism, and strict adherence to security procedures.

The statement further assured that if the allegations are substantiated, firm action will be taken without compromise against any party involved, in accordance with existing regulations, procedures, and laws. The public has been advised to refrain from speculation or premature conclusions that could mislead society and damage the reputation of MINDEF and the MAF.

& lt;P>MINDEF reiterated its commitment, along with the MAF, to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism among defence personnel, and stated that it will not tolerate any conduct that could undermine the image and credibility of the nation's defence institutions.

The viral social media posts, which began circulating yesterday, claim that immoral activities at military camps involved both external individuals and military personnel.
