Kuala Lampur:MIMOS Bhd and Quantropi Inc have announced a strategic partnership aimed at advancing quantum-safe cybersecurity technologies in Malaysia. This collaboration seeks to accelerate the evaluation, adoption, and commercialization of these technologies.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, The joint effort combines MIMOS' expertise in quantum technologies, cybersecurity, and quantum key distribution with Quantropi's Quantum Secure Key Distribution (QSKD) solution. Both entities have already undertaken preliminary technical evaluations and trial activities to lay the groundwork for further cooperation tailored to Malaysia's cybersecurity needs.
Under the Strategic Collaboration Agreement, MIMOS and Quantropi plan to identify potential applications, engage market ecosystems, evaluate use cases, and explore avenues for commercial deployment and technology development. The collaboration aims to integrate international quantum-safe innovations with Malaysian technical and market expertise.
Dr. Saat Shukri Embong, President and Group CEO of MIMOS Berhad, emphasized the importance of building quantum-safe capabilities to enhance Malaysia's digital resilience. He highlighted the potential to transform technological expertise into practical applications that could strengthen the nation's cybersecurity infrastructure.
James Nguyen, co-founder and CEO of Quantropi, mentioned that this partnership represents a significant step in making quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions accessible. The collaboration focuses on integrating Quantropi's QSKD solution, which allows for secure key delivery over existing digital infrastructure without the need for specialized hardware.
