Kuala lumpur: The Malaysia International Healthcare (MIH) Megatrends 2025 conference concluded with strong momentum, drawing more than 1,500 registered delegates and reflecting rising interest in innovations shaping the future of healthcare.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, KPJ Healthcare Bhd president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan stated that this year’s theme, ‘Innovating for a Healthier Sustainable Future,’ marked a deliberate shift beyond traditional clinical matters to broader policy and environmental considerations. Chin emphasized the importance of public health policies and the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda, highlighting the energy-intensive nature of healthcare and the need for sustainable practices.
Chin mentioned that the collaboration between KPJ Healthcare and the Ministry of Health (MOH), which jointly organized the conference, underscored the shared responsibility of public and private sectors in advancing the national healthcare mission. He stressed the role of KPJ as a strategic partner, aiming to support and complement the national agenda by providing a platform for experts to discuss and innovate.
The conference addressed various issues, including the challenges of an ageing society and the rapid expansion of digital health solutions. Chin noted significant advancements in AI technology and digital health within a short span, citing examples such as AI-enabled doctor-patient conversations and AI-powered imaging solutions. These innovations, he said, are already enhancing operational efficiency in hospitals and improving patient experiences, aligning with KPJ’s ‘Care for Life’ purpose.
Chin expressed the group’s commitment to future editions of the conference, aiming to continue facilitating intellectual exchange as digital and AI-driven solutions shape global healthcare. He also highlighted the conference’s digital component, which allowed real-time participation from a broader audience beyond physical attendance.
The three-day MIH Megatrends 2025, which began on Nov 25, was organized by the MOH in strategic collaboration with KPJ Healthcare, attracting healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders from around the world.
