Bangi: MIC vice-president (VP) Datuk T. Murugiah was injured in a road accident on the North-South Expressway near the Bangi interchange yesterday. The incident occurred at approximately 8.30 pm while Murugiah was returning home after attending the Bakri MIC Division annual general meeting in Johor.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a statement issued by Murugiah’s office today detailed that the accident happened when the vehicle he was in attempted to avoid a car that had stalled suddenly. The unexpected maneuver resulted in the accident that left Murugiah injured. Further details regarding the extent of his injuries have not been disclosed.
