Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC) is hosting a German aerospace and aviation delegation from May 26 to 30, 2025. The event aims to bring together leading German technology providers and Malaysian industry players for a week-long engagement to enhance innovation, knowledge exchange, and strategic collaboration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this initiative is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy under the Market Development programme. It aims to create meaningful connections between the aerospace sectors of both countries. MGCC stated that the delegation will serve as a dynamic platform for business networking, technological exchange, and the development of long-term partnerships.

MGCC announced that the business delegation programme will feature a conference on May 27, titled “Industry Outlook: Potential and Challenges of the Aviation and Aerospace Industry in Malaysia.” It will cover local perspectives, growth and infrastructure, innovation spotlight, and market trends, along with individual business matching sessions.

The programme is organised with support from key Malaysian industry bodies, including the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia and the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association, in collaboration with SBS systems for business solutions (SBS). MGCC executive director Jan Noether remarked that the delegation visit underscores their commitment to facilitating partnerships that contribute to the growth of Malaysia’s aerospace sector.

The initiative will include eight leading German technology providers in aircraft design, precision tooling, maintenance, repair and overhaul, and production technologies. These companies will engage with Malaysian stakeholders and include AID GmbH, August Rggeberg GmbH and Co. KG, FlexiCAM GmbH, Herzog GmbH, Hufschmied Zerspanungssysteme GmbH, Inspire SSA GmbH, KRD Luftfahrttechnik GmbH, and MKV GmbH.
