Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit the capital and 10 other states until 8 pm today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for several regions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the affected states include Perlis and multiple districts in Kedah, such as Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. Penang and Perak are also on alert, along with the districts of Jeli and Kuala Krai in Kelantan and Hulu Terengganu in Terengganu.

Pahang is expected to experience similar weather conditions in areas like Jerantut, Maran, Bera, and Rompin. In Selangor, the warning covers Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, and Kuala Langat. Additionally, Melaka and parts of Johor, including Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Pontian, are also expected to be affected by the adverse weather conditions.
