MetMalaysia Issues Thunderstorm Warning for Kuala Lumpur and Five States Until 6 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and five states until 6 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia stated that thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in several regions. In Kedah, the areas of Kulim and Bandar Baharu are anticipated to experience these weather conditions. Meanwhile, in Perak, the warning covers the districts of Kerian, Larut, Matang dan Selama, and Kuala Kangsar.

Additionally, Selangor will see similar weather impacts in Klang, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat. In Johor, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru are also under the thunderstorm warning.

In Sabah, the regions expected to be affected include the Interior areas such as Tenom, Beaufort, Nabawan, Keningau, and Tambunan, as well as the West Coast areas including Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, and Ranau. Tawau and Sandakan, particularly Tongod and Telupid, are also included in the warning.
