Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across six states, with conditions expected to persist until 9 PM.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning affects the entire states of Kelantan and Terengganu, as well as specific areas in Pahang, including Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin. In Johor, the alert covers Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.
The advisory extends to Sarawak, impacting regions such as Samarahan’s Simunjan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah’s Tanjung Manis, Daro, and Matu, Kapit’s Song, Kapit, and Belaga, Bintulu’s Tatau, Miri’s Beluru, Telang Usan, Marudi, and Limbang. Sabah’s Interior region, specifically Sipitang, and Tawau are also under the warning.
