Kuala Lumpur:The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds for several areas across 11 states and three Federal Territories, effective until 6 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this adverse weather alert affects the entire Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as the whole of Perlis, Terengganu, and Selangor. Specific areas in Kedah and Perak are also under warning, including Bandar Baharu, Kubang Pasu, and others in Kedah, and Kerian, Selama, and additional areas in Perak.

The warning further extends to regions in Kelantan such as Gua Musang and Kuala Krai, and in Pahang including Pekan and Kuantan. In Negeri Sembilan, Jelebu is affected, while in Johor, districts like Kluang and Mersing are under alert.

In East Malaysia, the warning is issued for parts of Sarawak including Samarahan and Mukah, as well as areas in Sabah such as the Interior and Tawau regions. The alert highlights the potential for significant weather disturbances throughout these areas today.
