Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued an advisory on Tropical Storm Penha, which is currently moving west at a speed of 25 kilometres per hour, approximately 1,065 kilometres northeast of Kinabatangan, Sabah.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia reported that the storm has reached maximum wind speeds of 65 kilometres per hour. However, it has not yet posed any significant impact on Malaysia.
The advisory further stated that as of 5 pm today, the storm's coordinates were 8.6°N latitude and 127.4°E longitude, positioning it roughly 250 kilometres northeast of Davao, Philippines.
