Kuala lumpur: The Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) has retained its top leadership, with Muhammad Naim Al Amin continuing to lead the national esports governing body as president for the 2026-2029 term. At the MESF annual general meeting today, Afiq Fadhli Narawi retained the post of deputy president.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohamad Khir Md Noor from Penang has taken on the role of vice-president 1, while Muhammad Faries Faizal Shamsul will serve as vice-president 2. Muhammad Naim said the decision to retain the existing leadership line-up was made unanimously after taking into account the bigger agenda facing MESF, including preparations for this year's Asian Games and the 2027 SEA Games in Sarawak.

'We see this not as a matter of personal interest, but we want the development of the federation to remain on the right track, so we decided that there would be no contest among us,' he told reporters after the meeting. Muhammad Naim said MESF remained committed to making Malaysia one of the leading esports powers in Southeast Asia while building an ecosystem capable of producing more world-class athletes.
