Melaka: Melaka FC came from behind to record a 2-1 victory over Negeri Sembilan FC in a Super League match at the Hang Jebat Stadium, Krubong here tonight. The winning goal was scored by Christian de Souza Andre during injury time to ensure the hosts collected all three points in a match witnessed by over 3,000 supporters.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the visiting team opened the scoring first in the 19th minute through Yusuke Minagawa, who finished off a pass from Mio Tsuneyasu. However, Melaka FC managed to equalise in the 33rd minute through a header by Noel Agbre from a corner kick delivered by Do Donghyun.
The dynamics changed for Negeri Sembilan in the second half when Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee was shown a red card in the 53rd minute after receiving his second yellow card for a foul on a Melaka FC player.
Despite playing with 10 men, Negeri Sembilan FC continued to defend well and even launched several dangerous attacks on Melaka FC's goal. Melaka FC goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat continued to display an outstanding performance by saving several attempts to ensure the Melaka defence held firm against the opponent's pressure.
