Megah Port Highlights Future Engagement Plans At Borneo Flora Festival 2025

Labuan: Megah Port Management Sdn Bhd (MPM) is using its participation in the Borneo Flora Festival 2025 to showcase Labuan’s maritime logistics and port operations, while outlining plans to deepen engagement with government agencies, the corporate sector, and the public.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MPM corporate communication head Annira Dulaab stated that the company aims to position Labuan as a strategic maritime hub by strengthening partnerships with public and private stakeholders. The focus is on raising awareness of the port’s growing roles, including cargo handling, vessel services, cruise operations, and infrastructure development.

MPM is one of more than 30 exhibitors at the Labuan International Sea Sports Complex, drawing visitors eager to learn about how the port supports trade, regional connectivity, and economic activity. Visitors received insights into daily port operations, logistics coordination, safety protocols, and the evolving future of Labuan’s maritime industry, Annira Dulaab shared with Bernama. This was following a visit by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

Dr Zaliha was briefed on MPM’s support for the event, including its sponsorship contributions, and she welcomed the company’s proactive approach to public outreach and cross-sector collaboration. “MPM’s initiative reflects the importance of engaging the public in understanding our port’s strategic functions, and it demonstrates how government and industry can collaborate to promote both education and tourism,” she said.

The Borneo Flora Festival 2025, featuring more than 250,000 flowering plants and creative exhibits, continues to serve as a platform for community interaction, education, and corporate engagement. For MPM, the festival marks a stepping stone towards future outreach efforts that aim to elevate Labuan’s port profile both locally and internationally.
