Maybank Appoints Malique Firdauz As New Officer-In-Charge Of Maybank Islamic


Kuala lumpur: Maybank has appointed its current chief financial officer Malique Firdauz Ahmad Sidique as officer-in-charge (OIC) for Maybank’s group chief executive officer (CEO), Islamic Banking and CEO, Maybank Islamic Bhd (MIB) effective today. He succeeded Nor Shahrizan Sulaiman, the current OIC, group CEO, Islamic Banking and CEO, MIB, who decided to pursue other professional interests outside of the group.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, Maybank president and group CEO Datuk Sri Khairussaleh Ramli expressed the company’s gratitude to Nor Shahrizan for his 16 years of service, acknowledging his efforts in managing his responsibilities as OIC alongside his role as deputy CEO of MIB and head of community banking.



The bank stated that Malique Firdauz would undertake the day-to-day management of MIB in addition to his current duties until a new CEO, MIB is appointed. This transition marks a significant step in the leadership of Maybank Islamic, as the company looks to continue its growth and development in the sector under Malique Firdauz’s guidance.
