Kuala lumpur: Maxis Bhd has announced that it has received a 12-year spectrum assignment in the 2,100 megahertz (MHz) band from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the assignment comes after MCMC extended an offer to Maxis. The offer involves a 2x10MHz spectrum, with an upfront cost of RM100 million and annual payments amounting to RM300 million over the 12-year period.
On the stock market, Maxis Bhd’s shares saw a slight decline, closing at RM3.70 after a decrease of one sen, with 1.68 million shares changing hands.
