Kelantan: Maxis, in collaboration with 44 graduates from its eKelas Usahawan Acceleration Programme, has recently distributed special raya goodies to 100 members of several charitable groups in Kelantan. The initiative reached out to various organizations including Persatuan Orang Pekak Kelantan (POPK), Persatuan Insan Istimewa Kelantan (INSANI), Persatuan Orang Cacat Penglihatan Islam Malaysia Cawangan Kelantan (PERTIS), and Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Dhuafa' Kelantan.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the goodies were prepared by the graduates themselves, allowing these budding entrepreneurs to contribute to their community. Maxis chief corporate affairs officer Azizul Abdul Rahman expressed that the initiative is a way for the graduates to bring their journey full circle. In addition to the raya goodies, Maxis donated three laptops and festive packs containing food items to Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Dhuafa' Kelantan, which supports 180 children across multiple orphanages.
Azizul also mentioned that a graduation ceremony was held for the 44 local business owners from the programme's second cohort. This upskilling initiative, running from November 2025 to February 2026, enabled entrepreneurs to increase their average revenue by 24 percent within three months. The program was organized in partnership with the Kelantan Women Entrepreneurs Club (KUWAK), the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, and the Ex-Servicemen Affairs Corporation (PERHEBAT).
The programme provided participants with practical training and coaching sessions to help them scale their businesses in the digital economy. Many experienced notable growth in revenue and social media presence after implementing digital marketing strategies learned during the programme. Azizul highlighted that this initiative reflects Maxis' commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering a self-sustaining local community by sharing the success with underserved groups.
