Abu dhabi: Mavenir, a cloud-native network software provider, has announced a collaboration with e UAE, the telecom arm of global technology group e, to deploy an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered, containerised spam, scam, and fraud protection solution across e UAE’s voice network.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the containerised deployment enables e UAE and Mavenir to roll out updates quickly, scale capacity on demand, and maintain consistent service levels across various environments, all while adhering to high security standards.
While e UAE is advancing secure, intelligent, and future-ready connectivity across the country, Mavenir, known for AI-by-design, cloud-native platforms, brings its CallShield solution to the partnership. Victor Lindberg, Mavenir vice president of Middle East and Africa, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, stating that the AI-enabled solution enhances customer security and satisfaction.
E UAE’s senior vice president of Core Networks and Platforms, Khaled Al Suwaidi, highlighted that integrating AI-driven voice security into the network allows for real-time detection and prevention of scams, reducing nuisance traffic for customers and protecting businesses from voice fraud.
CallShield, Mavenir’s voice fraud prevention platform, uses AI-powered threat detection solutions, such as call profiling, sentiment analysis, and pattern validation, to detect anomalies and block threats in real time. It applies AI and machine learning to block scams like robocalls, caller ID spoofing, and Wangiri scams.
This deployment will strengthen the security of e UAE’s voice core network, prevent fraud, and protect subscribers, aligning with its broader vision of integrating intelligent automation across its infrastructure.
