Mavenir and Red Hat Collaborate to Enhance Telecom Networks with AI Solutions

Mavenir: Mavenir, a software company focused on building AI-by-design mobile networks, has announced a partnership with Red Hat to provide Conversational AI and Agentic AI service assurance solutions utilizing Red Hat AI. These AI-driven offerings, which are powered by Red Hat OpenShift AI, run on-premise to deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-optimized network operations for telecommunications service providers.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the collaboration aims to revolutionize the telecommunications industry by employing AI solutions that make use of service providers' existing platform investments. The initiative focuses on enhancing security, resiliency, and low-latency performance, which are vital for real-time network operations. Mavenir's AI offerings are specifically designed for the telecom sector, providing a secure and cost-effective alternative to hosted as-a-service AI solutions.

With the implementation of Conversational AI, operators are enabled to move beyond basic connectivity, allowing AI agents to interpret and act upon the content and intent of communications. The Agentic service assurance extends these capabilities by creating workflows and facilitating decisions across various network domains and data sources, thus identifying and rectifying issues before they affect customers.

In preparation for deployment, Mavenir and Red Hat partnered with Dell Technologies' Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab (OTEL), which provides AI infrastructure based on the Dell PowerEdge R760xa. This infrastructure is engineered for AI, machine learning, and deep learning workloads. Experts from Dell's OTEL collaborated with the engineering teams from both companies to refine the large language model and maximize resource efficiency.

By implementing these solutions on-premise with Red Hat OpenShift AI, service providers can optimize GPU efficiency, maintain comprehensive control over security and governance, and effectively manage the complex AI lifecycle.
