Kuala lumpur: The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) has announced the official collaboration with PROTON as the mobility partner for the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026. This partnership includes the provision of 20 vehicles to facilitate logistics and the transportation of international delegates during the event.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a symbolic handover ceremony took place at Menara MATRADE, marking the commencement of this collaboration. The event was attended by MATRADE's CEO, Datuk Indera Abu Bakar Yusof, and PROTON's Deputy CEO, Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa. MATRADE emphasized that PROTON's involvement plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient logistics and demonstrates the strength of local brands in promoting Malaysia's international trade standing.

Abu Bakar highlighted that PROTON's role as the official mobility partner provides international delegates with the opportunity to personally experience vehicles produced by a Malaysian company. He expressed hope that this collaboration would motivate more local companies to utilize MIHAS as a platform for expanding their networks and enhancing global exposure.

MIHAS 2026, in its 22nd edition, will operate under the theme 'Shaping Trust, Driving Resilience.' The event will feature an exhibition segment with 14 strategic clusters, the International Sourcing Programme (INSP), a Knowledge Hub, the MIHAS Awards, and the Women in Export (WiEX) initiative.
